    Impact Factor The journal Asymptotic Analysis fulfills a twofold function. It aims at publishing original mathematical results in the asymptotic theory of problems affected by the presence of small or large parameters on the one hand, and at giving specific indications of their possible applications to different fields of natural sciences on the other hand.   On the asymptotic behaviour of solutions of some nonlinear elliptic and parabolic equations. new studies have been dedicated to elliptic and parabolic problems in order to extend the knowledge to the nonlinear problems.     This book provides a comprehensive introduction to the mathematical theory of nonlinear problems described by singular elliptic equations. There are carefully analyzed logistic type equations with boundary blow-up solutions and generalized Lane-Emden-Fowler equations or Gierer-Meinhardt systems with singular nonlinearity in anisotropic media. Abstract We investigate the homogeneous Dirichlet problem for a class of second-order nonlinear elliptic partial differential equations with singular data. In particular, we study the asymptotic behaviour of the solution near the boundary up to the second order under various assumptions on the growth of the coefficients of the equation.
